Laptop Battery at stake!

Pretty big a battery compared to the paltry 2200mAh batteries that come with Lenovo laptops like mine :(

So this is from an old MSI laptop that stopped working (all my attempts at bringing it to life also failed).

The enclosure was pretty solid and initial attempts to pry it open failed miserably. I then had to use a bit of force 🔨 (fully knowing the risks 🔥 involved and being ultra careful).

Neat stacks of 6 lithium-ion batteries.

So the voltage comes to around ~ 3.7 * 3 =  ~ 11.1 V

I plan to use this as a power supply or perhaps make a power bank. These are the standard 18650 type batteries.

I’m planning to charge these using a Li-ion charger I’d made earlier and see if the batteries are any good.

More updates later.
