Do you want to be the next best-selling author? Then, don't forget to add 'The girl' to its title 😶

Is it only me or does everyone see an increasing number of books having titles starting with ‘The Girl’?   I wish I had enough time to go around hunting for the true origins of books that started this trend.

So are authors really banking in on the success of few books with such a title that have turned out to be bestsellers to try and give their books better publicity or reach? Has it become a sort of a brand-name? A brand-name that has many proven success stories and one that is freely available for use? ’ The Girl ’ a very general phrase and I’m pretty sure nobody can copyright its usage.

Anyways here are few of the dozens of books that come up with just a simple search.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium, #1) The Girl Who Played with Fire (Millennium, #2) The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest (Millennium, #3) The Girl on the Train The Girl Who Chased the Moon The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making (Fairyland, #1) The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon The Girl Who Fell from the Sky The Girl With The Golden Eyes The Girl Who Could Fly The Girl With All the Gifts (The Girl With All the Gifts, #1) The Girl Who Played Go The Girl in a Swing The Girl Who Drank the Moon The Girl Who Loved Wild Horses The Girl You Left Behind The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1) The Girl with the Silver Eyes The Girl of Ink and Stars The Girl Who Cried Monster (Goosebumps, #8) The Girl in the Box The Girl Who Came Home The Girl With Glass Feet The Girl of His Dreams (Commissario Brunetti, #17) The Girl from the Well (The Girl from the Well, #1) The Girl at the Lion d’Or The Girl with Seven Names: A North Korean Defector’s Story The Girl Who Stopped Swimming The Girl Who Walked Home Alone: A Personal Biography of Bette Davis The Girl at Midnight (The Girl at Midnight, #1) The Girl in the Green Sweater: A Life in Holocaust’s Shadow The Girl in the Road The Girl from Everywhere (The Girl from Everywhere, #1) The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden The Girl Who Soared Over Fairyland and Cut the Moon in Two (Fairyland, #3) Girl with a Pearl Earring
